John Fair and Luis Cano began their successful business relationship in 2003 with the development of Esperanza, one of the most acclaimed resorts in the world. They became close partners based on their mutual dedication to excellence, their appreciation of family and the importance of friendship, and their love of the relaxing lifestyle and quality of life as it can only be lived in Mexico.

In this deep spirit of friendship and with their shared passion for beauty and quality, the vision for Paraiso del Mar emerged. Rather than build another resort, walled off from the local population and available only to the very wealthy, John and Luis have built a world-class community for everyone to experience. They have created more than the "typical" resort experience – at Paraiso del Mar the enchanting people and culture of Mexico join together with homeowners from all parts of the globe. John and Luis's vision, as true in 2003 as it is today, have created a truly magical place and that place is Paraiso del Mar.

Luis Cano's Gran Vision has provided architectural and construction services to the finest luxury homes and resorts in Los Cabos, including Villas del Mar, Esperanza, Palmilla, Las Ventanas, and many others. His exceptional ability to design and build at the highest level of quality has brought distinction to his work as among the most luxurious in the world. John Fair is from Colorado, where he manages more than $300 million of resort, residential and commercial development projects in the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean. He is the developer of two luxury resorts: Esperanza in Cabo San Lucas and the Grace Bay Club in Turks & Caicos.

Design Team

With the spirit of friendship that prevails in the Resort Neighborhoods of Paraiso del Mar, it should come as no surprise that the land planner, Dave Armbruster of EDSA (www.edsaplan.com), and the golf course architect, Arthur Hills (www.arthurhills.com), have been dear friends for more than 20 plus years. Their partnership brings an unrelenting commitment, spanning four decades, to blend natural and human landscapes into a seamless harmony.

Architect Mario Maldonado (www.gvarquitectos.com) has been the vision behind some of Los Cabos' most acclaimed resorts, including Esperanza and Villas del Mar, both of which have been voted by Elite Traveler Magazine "Pure Decadence in Mexico." He is renowned for his ability to create the ultimate in indoor/outdoor living, which is the hallmark of life on the Baja Cape
