Recreation

Paraiso del Mar's heart and soul is its Arthur Hills golf course. This spectacular "very first" La Paz golf course also offers the amenities of a country club including clubhouse, pool, beach club and tennis courts.

The beach that extends more than five miles around the tip of El Mogote provides endless recreation for fun in the sun. Thousands of people sail to La Paz every year enticed by the calm, warm, azure waters of the Sea of Cortez which provide for excellent sea kayaking, snorkeling and scuba diving. Nearby uninhabited islands add excitement with their coral reefs, private sandy coves, and rich marine life that includes whales, sea lions, dolphins, exotic tropical fish and abundant sport fish.

Nearby Isla Espiritu Santo has been protected as an uninhabited sanctuary, a biosphere national reserve. Espiritu Santo is an oasis of secluded coves, dramatic sandstone cliffs and coral reefs teeming with exotic tropical fish. Just off the island's north shore, at Los Islotes, you'll find rocky islets that provide a home for a thriving sea lion colony. And they seem to enjoy swimming with people!

A number of experienced outfitters provide daily excursions into the watery playground that surrounds Paraiso del Mar. The best options include snorkeling, scuba diving, sea kayaking and sport fishing.
